Install Unsigned Ipsw Using 3utools

After silence for a long time, there are many jailbreaking tools about to release. But can we downgrade our iPhones to unsigned firmwares if we jailbreak successfully? Indeed, we can downgrade some jailbroken iDevices. For 32-bit iDevices with SHSH (iPhone 4s, iPhone 4, iPhone 5c, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini, iPod touch 5G), you can downgrade to any iOS version after you jailbreak. And V2.19 3uTools supports 32-bit jailbreaking for all iOS versions. In short, if you saved corresponding shsh before, you can downgrade all 32-bit devices to any iOS version.

For file signatures, push a Untampered IOS Update through 3utools, Flashing with proFlash. Before starting the process, have fiddler 4 open and then start the flashing. During the process fiddler will recieve a response for the ios update md5 checksum from its servers, and the file signature files later on. Install IPSW File on iPhone iPad With iTunes (Lead to Data Loss) Step 1.Download the iOS. By using 3uTools instead of Cydia Impactor to download your jailbreak, you don’t need to use your Apple ID, and you don’t need to install the jailbreak.ipa file. Other Features of 3uTools: 3uTools offers plenty of features that allow you to do so much.

However, it would be more difficult to downgrade 64-bit devices (iPhone 5s and later). If you want to downgrade, you need shsh2 and need to operate on command windows. It only supports few iOS versions with high risk. So we do not recommend users to do this. However, you are suggested to build the habit to save shsh2, because perhaps a new downgrading tool will be released in the future.

Particular downgrading tutorial:

Downgrade iPhone 4s / iPad 2 to iOS 6.1.3 Using 3uTools (No SHSH, but now iOS 6.1.3 is signed for iPhone 4s and iPad 2(iPad 2,1, 2,2 and 2,3), you can downgrade on 3uTools.)

  • Launch Tenorshare ReiBoot Pro and connect your iPhone to the computer
  • Select the Fix All iOS Stuck section
  • Click Browse Button and select your IPSW file. Click download to import the package
  • Once the IPSW package is fully downloaded, you can either use the app to repair, update or downgrade your iOS regardless of whether it is signed or not.

The only catch is you will have to get the pro version of the app to install the unsigned IPSW.

Installing a Custom IPSW Using iTunes (Signed)

This is the easiest and most popular way to install your custom IPSW. It will work if you already have the file downloaded or got it from a friend. The catch is the IPSW must be signed despite the fact that it is customized.

  • Launch iTunes on your Mac or PC and connect the iPhone or iPad to your computer via a USB cable
  • Simultaneously hold the Home and Sleep buttons on your phone for around 10 seconds then release Sleep and keep holding the Home button until you see a message on your computer saying it has detected a device in recovery mode
  • Click OK on the message to launch the iPhone restore page
  • Hold down the Shift (Alt Option for Mac) and click on the restore button
  • Browse to where the IPSW you want to install is located, select and open it

Wait until the firmware is fully installed. Your iPhone will reboot automatically once it is done.
